...my story

Michelle Margiotta is a worship leader, singer-songwriter and composer who has dedicated her life to ministering to the church of Jesus Christ, as well as to nonbelievers. Her songs express the struggles, adventures, and expectations of what awaits us as we walk with Christ through life’s journey. She has ministered in various churches, conferences, and venues across the United States as well as abroad. Her heart pursues after the heart of God with the purpose of releasing the love He has for all people through song. She has a resolve for missions and a desire to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

“Although I am still learning, I am just beginning to realize what true worship is. Growing up in the church I associated worship solely with singing and music. However, I believe that true worship goes much deeper. It is a faithful devotion, a lifestyle of obedience, and a relationship of adoration toward God.”

Her new EP, Just As I Am  will be released on February 14th, 2013. Her song, “I Am Determined”, was influenced by Bruce Wilkinson’s The Dream Giver.  It speaks about walking by faith into the unknown, to pursue the dream that God has placed within each of us.  It is through that pursuit that we recognize the truth: God is the dream that we should be pursuing.“Simple truths that I’ve tended to overlook at times; learning to love the unlovable, forgiving those around us, thinking of others more than ourselves.  This cannot be done in our own strength. We need to come to a place where we trust the power of the Holy Spirit more than ever before, to change us from the inside out. I look at the mountains in my life and simply say, ‘God I can’t…but you can!’”

In early 2009, Michelle released her first project entitled, State of Heart.  Scripture tells us in 1 Samuel 16:7, “Man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart”.  Michelle stated, “As Christians, we want to ‘look’ right and ‘act’ right, especially when we are in front of one another. When we realize that it is only God who can see through us, it is then that we must acknowledge that our focus should be on our own state of heart.” Michelle desires that her music will echo across boundaries, uniting people from all walks of life.
